Posters

 

Posters: This modality will allow sharing experiences or results from researches through a visual format. The poster will also allow showing summarized the main conclusions of an individual or collective work. It should stimulate a debate and an interchange of ideas in an informal and direct setting between its authors and the audience interested on sharing the different points of view.

Posters will be placed in the central corridor of the "ETSI de Informática" University. They will be exposed during the conference and there will be a presentation of the posters through "round tables" among delegates.

 

Instructions for presenting posters:

  • Subject: It points out the section of the conference and the theme. It must be written in one line at the top of the poster (font: Arial; size: 50; bold).
  • Identification of author(s): It must include name(s), country, represented institution (if any), and contact details (phone number, e-mail, web page, and ZIP code). It must be written in one line (font: Arial; size: 30).
  • Title: It goes after the subject. There is no restriction for the font but it must to be readable at a distance of 3 meters; careful with the margins. Posters will be read at distance so it is important to choose a readable and simple font with a minimum size of 30 pt.
  • Introduction: It goes after the title (font: Arial; size: 30). It will posit the topic of the research or experience.
  • Content:
  • Design & format: Posters must be made in paper, cardboard, or photographic paper. The size of the paper is 70x100cm.
    • Posters must have the following margins: top 5 cm, bottom 3 cm, left and right 3 cm. Everything in the poster must be inside these margins.
    • Images must have authorization if needed. The conference is not responsible of copyright problems.
  • Delegates with admitted posters must bring them the first day of the conference in their latest version. At the moment of the registration, delegates have to go to the admissions office from the event to know where to place the posters.
 

 Normas de envío y aceptación de los trabajos:

    • Authors must be inscribed in the conference for the final admission of the paper.
    • Papers will be sent in electronic format to the following e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. A receipt of the sent documents will be sent.
    • The scientific and technic committee of the conference will inform about the admission or refusal of the poster individually.
 

Instructions for abstracts:

  1. The abstracts can be presented in Spanish or English.
  2. The title of the presentation must be short (max. 125 characters including spacing) and include as better as possible the content of the abstract.
  3. The abstract must have a minimum length of 250 characters and a maximum length of 500 characters (excluding title, author's names, and personal details), and it cannot have quotes or references.
  4. Each abstract must have between 3 and 4 keywords.
  5. We appreciate if you avoid the use of abbreviations unless needed. Do not include figures or tables, and do not send attachments, slides, or any reference material.
  6. Specify in which field your work should be included (see the list of fields). Choose a maximum of three fields in preference order.

Content organization of abstracts:

  1. Use a sentence for the purpose of the presentation. 
  2. Note briefly the theoretical framework and reasons of the research.
  3. Explain the method used.
  4. Summarize the results obtained.
  5. Point out a conclusion(s) of the research.
  6. Close with a brief reflection about the practical, methodological, or theoretical implications of the research.
  7. Do not include promising expressions, such as "the results will be discussed"; and do not include references in the abstract.

Remember that if it is written carefully, the proper evaluation by the scientific Committee will be easier. A brief description of the content will help for a rigorous and satisfactory assessment for your interests
